Channel Railing

Custom two-story channel railing fabricated for a private townhouse in the West Village, Manhattan.

The Story

The balustrade is made entirely from steel channels with a hand-applied black patina, following the continuous curve of the staircase. A solid brass handrail was shaped to match the geometry of the stair, adding warmth and contrast to the dark metalwork. This project highlights bespoke architectural metalwork, combining traditional craftsmanship with clean architectural lines.
